SECRET BALLOT - SURIA COMPONENT MANUFACTURING (M) SDN BHD (DATED: MAY 19, 2023)

A significant milestone was achieved as the union conducted a secret ballot for the recognition of Suria Component Manufacturing (M) SDN BHD. This event marked a crucial step in the collective bargaining process.

The union had submitted a recognition claim on March 3, 2022, and the secret ballot for Suria Component Manufacturing (M) SDN BHD took place from 4:00 PM to 8:10 PM. A total of 45 workers participated in the voting process.

The results revealed a decisive victory for the union, with 70.18% of the votes in favor. This outcome signifies strong support for the union among the workers of Suria Component Manufacturing.

In response to the successful ballot, the Chief Director of the Industrial Relations Department, under Section 9(5) of the Industrial Relations Act 1967, decided to grant recognition to NUTEAIW for Suria Component Manufacturing (M) SDN BHD. The formalities were completed through the submission of Form D and Form F on June 6, 2023.
