SECRET BALLOT - EUROTECH MANUFACTURER SDN BHD (DATED: APRIL 17, 2023)

Eurotech Manufacturer SDN BHD reached a significant milestone as a secret ballot was conducted for the recognition claim filed by the National Union of Transport Equipment and Allied Workers (NUTEAIW). The ballot results reflect strong support from the employees towards the union.

The recognition claim was submitted by the union on October 19, 2022. The secret ballot process took place on April 17, 2023, revealing that 81.25% of employees supported the union.

The highly favorable voting outcome, with 81.25% of votes in favor, signifies substantial endorsement from Eurotech Manufacturer SDN BHD employees for union membership.

The Director-General of Industrial Relations, under Section 9(5) of the Industrial Relations Act 1967, after reviewing the voting results and current circumstances, decided to officially recognize NUTEAIW. Formalities were completed through the submission of Form D and Form F on May 10, 2023.
