SECRET BALLOT - MW ADVANTECH SDN BHD RECOGNIZES NUTEAIW (DATED: APRIL 5, 2023)

On April 5, 2023, 

MW Advantech SDN BHD witnessed a historic moment as a secret ballot was conducted in response to a recognition claim filed by the National Union of Transport Equipment and Allied Workers (NUTEAIW). The results of the ballot reflect a significant majority in favor of union recognition.

The union's recognition claim was officially submitted on October 28, 2022, initiating a process that culminated in a secret ballot held on April 5, 2023. A total of 217 employees participated in the ballot.

In a remarkable display of solidarity, 80.25% of MW Advantech SDN BHD employees voted in favor of union recognition, affirming the employees' desire to have NUTEAIW represent their collective interests.

Following a thorough review of the voting results and the adherence to legal procedures, the Director-General of Industrial Relations, as per Section 9(5) of the Industrial Relations Act 1967, declared MW Advantech SDN BHD's official recognition of NUTEAIW. The formal recognition was conveyed through the submission of Form D and Form F, dated April 18, 2023.

The success of this secret ballot marks a significant milestone in the relationship between MW Advantech SDN BHD and its workforce. Union recognition opens avenues for constructive dialogue, collective bargaining, and fostering a harmonious working environment.
